Thursday, July 18, 2024
6 - 8 pm EDT (3 - 5 pm PDT), Online
No charge; register at https://bit.ly/G4GJuly
Join Dr. Kamilah Majied in dialogue with Dr. Marisela Gomez, physician scientist and public health expert, as we discuss the implications of the genocide, starvation, torture, and displacement in Gaza. We will offer contemplative practices to support your heart, mind, body, and spirit as you listen to the discussion and set intentions for action.
This is the second in a series of Information and Wise Action Planning Sessions offered by Dr. Kamilah Majied for those interested in supporting the Palestinian people. She writes “In Joyfully Just, I talk about putting social justice efforts on our calendar to enhance our personal empowerment and sense of well-being and to enact our interdependence. As Daisaku Ikeda said, “Peace is a competition between despair and hope, between disempowerment and committed persistence.” In light of this, I am offering a Gathering for Gaza series aimed at resourcing and educating all of us who are interested in supporting the Palestinian people.”
Registration closes at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, 7/18. An event recording will not be shared; please plan to attend live.
